This item is an essential heat sink if you are buying the Aura Pro X for installation in a Late 2013 Mac Pro. Ideally it should be offered as an option when purchasing the Pro X so that you don’t have to order it separately or after the Aura Pro X arrives and you read the label indicating the heat sink is required.
Note: it’s not needed for Mac Book Pro or Mac Mini.
