Disk Doubler worked a treat

The disk doubler went in my 27" IMac easily and with the 1TB OWC Drive I also bought have given the iMac a new lease of life.

Give your iMac a new lease on life

Kit is great and comes with everything needed to replace the optical drive with an SSD. Note that the SATA interface here only has a Link Speed of 3 Gigabit so don't bother installing a 6G drive if you don't have to (still compatible though). Plenty of tutorials on the web outside of the official OWC video if you need more.

OWCâ€:tm:s Data Doubler allows an SSD to be mounted and keep the original hard drive (but lose dvd drive). My iMac has gone from very slow to great! Saved me spending a lot of money to update.
